Fred Hammond

Hammond’s most popular songs are from the late 90s and early 00s, although he’s been active since the early 80s.

In 1998, Hammond released the album Pages of Life: Chapters 1 and 2, which spawned the popular singles ‘Let the Praise Begin” and “Power”.

His song “Power” was featured on The Prince of Egypt soundtrack in the same year. Since 2001, Hammond has had several notable singles of his own, including “King of Glory” and “All Things Are Working”.

But he has also had big hits alongside other groups, including “Celebrate (He Lives)” with Noel Hall and Darryl Dixon, “Better Than That” with The Singletons, and “By Faith” with Sean Combs.

What awards has Fred Hammond won?

Fred Hammonds has won more awards that any other contemporary gospel figure, both for his own songs and as a producer for other artists.

He has won multiple Dove Awards for vocalist of the year, producer of the year, and best album, and a Grammy for best contemporary R&B gospel album. Hammonds has also been nominated for dozens of awards.
